Explore in your own pace the villages above adriatic costs, the biggest lake in Balkans - Lake Skadar and enjoy stunning views all along your way. This self-guided cycling tour takes you on small side roads to beautiful corners of Montenegro´s Mediterranean coastline. You stay overnight in small cosy hotels or B&B. Your luggage is transferred from place to place or you can also choose to rent panniers and bags. We provide you with information where to taste culinary delights along your way, so you get refreshed and in touch with locals. The difficulty of the basic itinerary is medium and if neccesery extra transfers could be organized to make it easier. Best time to go: Mid April-July or September-November.
Experience the highlights of one of the most beautiful hiking areas in Southern Europe crossing the World Heritage "Bay of Kotor” and Lovcen National park. Flashlight of impressions: In the Vrmac range, dividing the inner and outer bay you find atmospheric villages and fabulous views to the UNESCO World Heritage Bay of Kotor. Also Nationalpark Lovćen, home to the Mausoleum of the poet and bishop – Petar II Petrovic Njegos, has in particular a large network of hiking and biking trails. As a reward, unique views to the open sea and Boka Bay are waiting for you. Finally, don’t forget to stop at one of the typical inns to try the famous smoked ham and well known cheese from Njegusi, with a glass of Montenegrin wine.
